Child Falls Down Elevator Shaft, Rescued By MOCO Fire And Rescue

A toddler fell down an elevator shaft from the third to first floor of a home in Potomac, but had non-life-threatening injuries.

POTOMAC, MD — A small child fell down an elevator shaft of a single family home on Greenbrier Road in Potomac Wednesday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer said on Twitter.

Fire and Rescue got the child out of the shaft quickly, Piringer said. The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Fox 5 reported.
