Updated: China Jade Bistro Opening Date Pushed Back

Updated: China Jade Bistro will not open Thursday as originally announced.

Earlier today Patch reported that China Jade Bistro, the restaurant now occupying the location of the former Jade Billows restaurant in the Cabin John Shopping Center, would open Thursday, according to business owners.

Co-owner Candy Yan now says the business opening will be pushed to next week, as early as Monday. Menus are not yet finished, she said. Once open, operating hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays through Thursday. The restaurant will stay open until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Potomac residents and shopping center customers have been curious about the opening, often peeking through the doors as workers walk in and out. Management says those customers can expect a menu similar to Jade Bistro’s but with a contemporary flare.

“We want to do a modern Asian kitchen – some new, contemporary dishes “The menu will be similar, but we’ll have around 10 new entrees.”
