Join Potomac Conservancy as we keep our communities clean for the 23rd Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup, organized by the Alice Ferguson Foundation. This cleanup is open to all ages, and includes stewardship activities such as trash removal and trail maintenance surrounding the River Center at Lock 8. Potomac Conservancy will provide tools.
Potomac Conservancy will be hosting cleanup events at several locations throughout the watershed as well. Please visit www.potomac.org/site/events/index.php?date=2011-04-09 for more information.
Since 1989, more than 60,000 volunteers have teamed with 375 partner organizations to tug over 3 million tons of trash from the watershed’s streams, rivers and bays.
