Come celebrate the opening of the Conservancy’s eighth season at the River Center with a full morning of events! We will start early with a migratory bird walk hosted by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service biologist Noah Kahn. Afterwards, Potomac Conservancy President Hedrick Belin will make opening remarks, followed by a medicinal plant walk with Randa Steblez. We’ll finish the day off with live music from the Irish folk duo Lilt. Bring the whole family to this day of fun activities! The River Center will be open on weekends from May through October; stop by to tour the restored lockhouse and browse educational exhibits about the Potomac watershed and C & O Canal history.
