First Annual Boosterthon Fun Run at Beverly Farms Elementary

The Boosterthon Fun Run at Beverly Farms Elementary took place this past week and was a huge success!

580 students ran simultaneously together as Kindergarten through 2nd grade ran on the Blazing Blue Track and 3rd grade through 5th grade ran on the Rocking Red Track. Students that finished their laps earlier than others cheered on their fellow classmates and gave each of them high fives as they crossed the finish line. This day was truly all about the kids.

The Boosterthon Fun Run marked the culminating event of the 9-day program that took place at their school. This 9-day program saw the students raise more than $25,000 for Beverly Farms Elementary. These funds will be used for programming and extracurricular events as well as technology improvements throughout the school.

During the 9-days, the students also learned about leadership, character and fitness. These important life lessons were taught through the "Camp High Five" theme where daily character videos and catchy songs reinforced the value of respecting others inside the classroom.

It was amazing to see the students learn about friendship, while exceeding their fundraising goals for the school year.

“Our team motivates students across the country to get excited about fitness, leadership and character,” said Chris Carneal, Boosterthon founder and president. “We love watching schools exceed their financial goals with our program, but what really fires us up is developing leaders at the elementary-school level.”

This school year, Boosterthon will challenge 700,000 students in 22 states to move from classmates to friends with a summer camp theme all about friendship.
