Come and enjoy the culmination of our 19th season as our five choirsโPrima, Dolce, Cantabile, Concert and Chamberโand returning alumni perform a rich program of Eastern and Western music appealing to audiences of all ages. The program includes choral music from around the world; from classical to contemporary and living composers; and in different languages including Chinese, English, Japanese Tagalo, Waiata, Spanish, and more. The audience is invited to sing-along the Chinese childrenโs song MOTHERโS TENDER EYES (Mฤmฤ de yวnjฤซng).

The Program features SUN IS RISING! (Tร iyรกng chลซlรกile) - by Chinese composer Yang, Xiu-Lan, about the hopes and joys that the sun brings when it is rising; RUSH PUT ON THE ROAD (Gวn bวi lรนshร ng) a very lively Chinese folk song from the southwest province of Yunnan. Other featured pieces include THE GIFT OF MUSIC by renowned British John Rutter; RED DRAGONFLY a Japanese folk song arranged by Yamada, Dwyer, and Nurre; INNORIA (Huron dance song) an early Canadian folksong, from the Wyandot indigenous people, inciting revelers to a long night of dancing, collected by Marius Barbeau and arranged by Donald Patriquin; LAS AMARILLAS - Southern Mexican Folksong in the style of huapango, arranged by Stephen Hatfield; AHAY TUBURAN a farewell Philippinesโ folksong from the mountain region, arranged by Ruth Dwyer and Martin Ellis; TUTIRA MAI (We Stand As One) traditional song of New Zealandโs Maori culture.
