Great Escape: Redefine Coffee Break

How Potomac parents like to unwind.

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap on Wednesday evening.  It’s your time. Take it.

Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

This week, redefine your coffee break and make it a little more me-time.

A trip to Italy may not be possible at the moment, but you can transport yourself into some moments of tranquility right here in Potomac — with one hard-to-find, near-perfect cappuccino! Take half-hour and meet a friend at , the authentic Italian restaurant in Potomac Woods Plaza. I haven’t had such an old-world, real cappuccino since the one I sipped in Cape Town, South Africa last fall.

Co-owner Davide Megna’s cooking school training in the Piedmont region of Italy is evident here. Give yourself a break - and redefine “coffee break.” Open 11:30a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A cappuccino costs $3.75 plus tax.
