UPDATE: Power Restored in Potomac

Update, 5:30 p.m.: Pepco crews have restored power to a majority of customers who were in the dark on Friday afternoon.

As of 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Pepco reported 25 customers in the ZIP code 20854 are without power.

Original post, 4:34 p.m.: Severe weather in the area has left many Potomac residents near Seven Locks Road without power.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Pepco reported 1,044 customers in the ZIP code 20854 are without power.

Clusters of outages are occurring near the intersection of Tuckerman Lane and Seven Locks Road. Crews are on site, and power should be restored by 5 p.m., Pepco reported.

There are 2,727 outages out of more than 308,000 customers in Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service has issued a for Montgomery County until 9 p.m.
