Potomac Man Found Dead Near Home, Reported Missing Feb. 9

POTOMAC, MD — A missing 46-year-old Potomac man was located deceased yesterday afternoon, police said.

Mehran Firouz of Postoak Road went missing on Feb. 9. He was last seen leaving his home on foot and didn't inform family members where he was going, police told Patch.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, Firouz was found deceased near his home. There is no indication of foul play involved in his death, police said.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are conducting the death investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
