Some of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Maryland chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The first ever Fall Festival at Potomac Petals and Plants will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, and include a local author reading her latest Halloween related children’s book, petting zoo, pumpkin carving and more. The events is part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
WHO: Potomac Petals & Plants (PPP), Potomac’s premier flower, garden and gift shop, opened last May. This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, PPP has put together an incredible event to raise money while helping neighbors stock up on all their fall gardening, decorating and Halloween needs!
WHAT: The fall festival will include plenty of pumpkins which can be bought and brought home or carved right there at a carving station (parental accompaniment highly suggested for ultimate fun!) for a chance to win prizes. In addition, kids will find a petting zoo complete with pigs, ponies, a goat and more. Parents will enjoy a wreath making station hosted by on-site expert Kelly Mayo. Parents and children alike will enjoy the special reading by author Cara Via of her newly released book, “Halloween Holly,” which teaches kids how to make healthy choices around the holiday while keeping the magic alive.
