Relating Well with Your Adult Children and Grandchildren Takes New and Wise Aging Skills

Potomac Community Village offers a free special program, open to all, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 7 p.m.

Clinical social worker Rebecca Porter shares her professional experience in counseling at Potomac Community Village's January 26th presentation titled, "Relating with Your Adult Children and Grandchildren." Porter's specialized training is particularly applicable to helping seniors deal with multi-generational concerns and the flashpoints that sometimes occur.

Ms. Porter is currently a community outreach liaison with the Jewish Social Service Agency, and also works with older adults providing care management services and support services coordination. She has an MSW from Boston University.

Potomac Community Village's January 26th meeting takes place from 7 - 9 pm at the Bolger Center, 9600 Newbridge Drive, Potomac, MD, in the Franklin Building. Please use Parking Lot #1. The program is free and open to all.

Potomac Community Village is a non-profit all-volunteer network of friends and neighbors, providing programs and services so members can live vibrant, active and healthy lives, while living in their own homes and neighborhoods. We call it โ€œthriving in place,โ€ so we are independent, safe in our homes, among friends, living where we want to, having the opportunity to help others, and providing peace of mind to our children. Volunteer services offered include transportation, computer assistance, simple home repairs and friendly visits and phone calls. For more information, to volunteer or to get volunteer help, contact 240-221-1370, email info@PotomacCommunityVillage.org or check out www.PotomacCommunityVillage.org or www.Facebook.com/PotomacCommunityVillage.
