Weekly News Update for Aliabaad Farm September 30, 2014

Weekly Update to Farm News

Weather and produce Conditions: We had to bring out the blankets and close the windows as the cold weather arrived on the second day of Fall. The good news is we will continue to have fresh produce and hopefully make you smile. However, we are cleaning the fields and preparing ground for natural fertilizer and winter cover by planting hay so the soil gains some nutrients back during the winter months ahead.

CSA Membership for 2015: We have been asked by so many of you about the next year CSA membership. As tradition our early registration will start in Nov 16th and end on December 31, 2014. We will honor our weekly standard 2014 price for 2015. Please let us know if you are interested so we can send you the details on a separate email.

This weekโ€™s offers:
1. Fresh Free Farm Raised Chicken- This offer is only at the farm visitor center. The whole chicken will cost around $ 15 dollars.
2. Potatoes-We have plenty of potatoes and are now offering them to CSA for only $15/25lb box.
3. Pavilion: We are offering our farm and pavilion for corporate and private event gatherings. The pavilion is fully equipped with new furniture and has the capacity to accommodate 100 people adjacent to Lilliโ€™s island which can host as many as 150 people. There are two fire pits, with a large (commercial size) grill for BBQ. Please visit us or feel free to let us know for any additional details and pricing information.
