• Town of Preston Awarded Grant to Replace Playground (carolinereview.com) — Preston has secured a $141,567 state grant to fully replace the main children’s playground at James T. Wight Memorial Park on Backlanding Road, with completion expected by April 2027. Town leaders say the upgraded, more accessible play area will support community health, offer safer spaces for families, and boost Preston’s appeal as a place to live and visit.
