2 More Suspects Arrested In Rockville Gun Shop Robbery
Police have arrested two more people they say drove a car into a Rockville gun shop and stole weapons.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two more people have been arrested in connection to the June 13 gun shop robbery in Rockville, according to authorities.
Demico Henderson, Jr., 18, of Glen Burnie, was charged with second-degree burglary with the intent to steal a firearm and a possession of a firearm by a minor, court records show. At the time of the crime, Henderson, Jr. was 17 years old, so Montgomery County Police have not released his photo. He, however, is being charged as an adult.
The second suspect — 20-year-old Mirakle Smith, of Elkridge — was charged with accessory after the fact, police said.

The gun shop robbery happened on June 13 around 2:30 p.m. According to Marcus Jones — Montgomery County's acting police chief — five suspects used a stolen car to ram into United Gun Shop, triggering the alarm. About four minutes after the alarm was triggered, police arrived at 5465 Randolph Rd. and tried to prevent the thieves from getting away.
While fleeing the scene, the suspects rammed a second stolen getaway car at a police cruiser.
Jones says the officer fired multiple shots at the car as it exited onto Randolph Road.

Authorities have identified the officer who discharged his weapon as John Gloss, a 20-year veteran assigned to the Patrol Services Bureau. Per standard protocol, Gloss has been placed on administrative leave pending review.
According to police, the five suspects in the getaway car traveled down Randolph Road for approximately a quarter mile before becoming disabled. Four of the suspects fled the area. When officers arrived, they found one of the suspects dead inside the vehicle.
Officials have identified the deceased suspect as 17-year-old Marquis Weems, of Anne Arundel County.
While searching for the outstanding suspects, authorities said they found a bag of guns from the store in a resident's backyard. They also found three handguns in the vehicle on Randolph Road.
As of June 14, law enforcement officials recovered 17 guns. Police say there are still 10 stolen firearms missing from United Gun Shop.
Detectives have also linked the burglary in Rockville to a second burglary in Howard County. That incident happened in the early morning hours on June 12.
A stolen car was used to ram into Fox's Firearms in Laurel around 2 a.m., according to Howard County Police. Multiple guns were stolen from the firearms dealer.
