At the scene, authorities found an employee whose hand and arm were trapped inside what Piringer described as an "industrial mixer/roller."

Officials couldn't extricate the individual until just before 5 p.m. After removal, they were promptly transported from the site by medevac helicopter.

During the emergency response, Montgomery College's Rockville campus was identified as a landing site. Rockville City Police temporarily closed roads in the immediate area.

Authorities have not released additional details on the case.
