MoCo Worker Hospitalized After Arm Becomes Trapped Inside Industrial Mixer
First responders were alerted to the incident just before 3:30 p.m., with officials able to extricate the individual around 5 p.m.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A special trauma team was deployed to an Omega 3 Nutrition shop in Rockville on Thursday after a worker became trapped in industrial machinery.
Pete Piringer, spokesperson with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said first responders were alerted to the shop on the 1300 block of E. Gude Drive around 3:30 p.m.
At the scene, authorities found an employee whose hand and arm were trapped inside what Piringer described as an "industrial mixer/roller."

Officials weren't able to extricate the individual until just before 5 p.m. Upon removal, they were promptly transported from the site in a medevac helicopter.
Montgomery College's Rockville campus was identified during the emergency response as a landing site. Rockville City Police had temporarily issued a road closure for the immediate area.
