Blues to Bluegrass at the Tree of Life Cafe in Rockville
The next Tree of Life Cafe will feature an eclectic mix of honky-tonk, swing, bluegrass and blues.

The Late Boomers make their debut at the Tree of Life Cafe with a toe-tappin' mix of honky-tonk, swing, country blues and bluesy-grass. The band features veteran DC area singer-songwriter Jeremy "Buck" Stone Schuhmann on guitar/vocals and harmonica, New Orleans transplant Eric Glaser on upright bass, and Annapolis native Elizabeth Melvin (Mama Jama, Jambulay) on percussion/vocals, along with ace multi-instrumentalist Tom McLaughlin (OK Twisters, Mama Tried) on mandolin and lead guitar. The vocals are tight, the strings are swinging and the atmosphere is hot when the Late Boomers come out to play.
The Alpha Dog Acoustic Blues Band is a great band for when you're ready to kick up your heels or just sit back and groove. This band of top notch musicians is fronted by Roger Hart on harmonica/vocals, with Tom Muck on guitar/vocals, Jeff Clair on guitar and Nancy Lisi on upright bass. With a solid repertoire of an old school mix – country and Chicago style, from Muddy Waters to Little Walter to Taj Mahal and Keb Mo', along with a few originals thrown in the mix, The Alpha Dog Acoustic Blues Band will have you smiling and tapping your feet.
