Coppelia by Rockville Civic Ballet

Join the Rockville Civic Ballet as they perform Coppelia.  Coppelia is a story about a life like doll, Coppelia, a deceitful Dr. Coppelius, Franz, an infatuated boy, and his jealous fiancée, Swanhilda. Swanhilda, sees Franz throwing kisses at Coppelia and decides to impersonate the doll in order to win the love of Franz.  Dr. Coppelius tries to trick Franz to steal his “life force” to give life to Coppelia.  Swanhilda saves the day and her fiancé after much chaos.  Swanhilda and Franz make up and get married. The marriage is celebrated with several festive dances.The Rockville Civic Ballet consists of 75 adult and children dancers.
