MARYLAND — Good morning, Patch readers in Maryland! Before you head out the door, check out Patch's traffic report — which covers suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Monday, July 11 .

On the Road

As of 6:57 a.m., emergency units responded to collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle near on Bou Avenue at Chapman Avenue in Rockville. Expect delays in both directions of Bou Avenue with the right side of street blocked by the crash. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue transported the cyclist to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

As of right 6:51 am., a disabled vehicle is causing moderate delays on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 near the exit for MD-4/Pennsylvania Avenue near Forestville, Maryland. Motorists should look out for the vehicle on the right side of the road.

As of 5:48 a.m., a collision occurred on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 between the I-270 Spur/Bradley Boulevard and River Road in Montgomery Count.

On the Metro

Five Orange Line stations in Maryland are closed through Sept. 5 due to Metro's platform improvement project: New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Avenue. Free shuttle bus service is available.

On MARC

Due to Metro's platform improvement project (see above), MARC Penn Line passengers who usually transfer to the Orange Line at New Carrollton Station will not be able to transfer to Metrorail through Sept. 5.

DC Weather

Warmer temperatures and less clouds are expected in the D.C. metro region on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Conditions are expected to be even hotter on Tuesday, ahead of a cold front moving toward the region. The forecast calls for strong to severe thunderstorms occurring in the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday.

As of 7:32 a.m., there was no precipitation and the temperature was 61 degrees, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
