Delaware Woman Identified As Victim in Suspicious Rockville Death

Police still don't know what caused the death of a Delaware woman whose body was found in a Rockville parking lot.

ROCKVILLE, MD A Delaware woman has been identified as the victim in a suspicious death who was found at the back of a Rockville parking lot, according to Montgomery County Police. Detectives used fingerprint analysis to determine the dead woman was Lori Denise Detwiler, 55, of the 32800 block of South Captains Way in Millsboro, Delaware.

An autopsy was completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Tuesday and there was no evidence of trauma to the victim’s body. Police are waiting for toxicology results from the autopsy.

Detectives say Detwiler was found in the 12300 block of Parklawn Drive. A passerby on his way to a Metro station saw the woman and called police about 6:30 a.m. Monday.

The woman was lying in a parking lot near the fence line at the rear of the property, which borders an apartment community. Police say residents commonly travel from the apartments through the parking lot to reach the Twinbrook Metro Station.

There was no identification with Detwiler, which caused the delay in determining her identity.
