If you are interested in joining in the fight against all types of cancer, to create a world with less cancer and more birthday, consider forming a team for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Rockville, MD, Saturday, June 4 - Sunday, June 5th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 AM at the Montgomery College, Rockville Campus. http://www.RockvilleRelay.org
What is Relay? The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost & fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at the college and take turns walking around the track, having a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events. We will have great food, live entertainment, games, a dj, and meaningful ceremonies throughout the night, so come prepared for a great time!
Anyone can participate in Relay For Life. Friends, families, neighbors, classmates, sports teams, etc., can form their own teams. The only requirement to participate in Relay For Life is a $10 committment fee (per person) that is due upon registration. After that, anything you can raise through individual, team, or online fundraising is graciously accepted. It is recommended that each participant to set a personal goal to raise $100. Even if you do not raise $100, you are still welcome to participate.
