The ice rink at Veteran's Plaza in Silver Spring hosts its official dedication featuring County Executive Isiah Leggett along with other elected officials, community leaders and local residents.
A 50 minute skating session will be offered for free for those who bring a donation of a winter coat (all sizes welcome) or canned foods.
