Frost Advisory Issued for Parts of Maryland Overnight

The frost advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday for central and western Maryland.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A frost advisory has been issued for portions of central and western Maryland from 5 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.

A frost advisory has been issued overnight for the Potomac highlands, eastern West Virginia, northern Virginia and for locations near the Mason-Dixon line. In Maryland, the advisory includes all or portions of Carroll, Baltimore, Montgomery, Howard, and Alleghany counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will reach a low in the upper 30s Friday night.

Residents are reminded to bring in their outdoor plants and vegetation that may be killed in these conditions if left uncovered.

Temps should warm during the day Saturday and reach a high in the mid-60s for the area. Temperatures in the 70s are expected for Sunday and Monday, with an abnormally warm high of 80 degrees in many areas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
