Ingleside at King Farm Expanding Offerings with New Residential Buildings and Center for Healthy Living
Expansion to Include Independent and Assisted Living Residences, Luxury Amenities

Rockville, Md. – Ingleside at King Farm – one of Ingleside’s three not-for-profit, CARF-accredited, continuing care retirement communities in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area – will be adding to its independent living opportunities with two new buildings and a new Center for Healthy Living. The addition, named “Gardenside,” is expected to open in 2019 or 2020.
The buildings will house 125 new independent living residences and a new assisted living memory support building with 32 suites. In addition to increased residential and health services offerings, the Gardenside expansion will include a new Center for Healthy Living, which will serve all Ingleside at King Farm residents.
The Center for Healthy Living will feature a creative arts center, meditation space, yoga studios, spa and salon, courtyards, al fresco dining options, and an outdoor patio for art, tai chi and yoga. The center will be connected to the existing community, the new independent living building and the new assisted living memory support building.

“Gardenside is reflective of our ongoing commitment and promise to provide our residents, both current and future, with the absolute best living opportunities available in the Washington, D.C. metro area,” said Ingleside CEO Lynn O’Connor. “The Center for Healthy Living will offer new and exciting resources for our residents to achieve and maintain an integrated and engaged life.”
In addition to 32 suites, the assisted living memory support building will offer residents full medical services, new clinical suites, and a spa and salon with massage rooms.

For the expansion, Ingleside has partnered with architecture firm Perkins Eastman, development firm Greenbrier Development and building contractor firm Whiting-Turner, all of whom have a specialty in senior living communities. The project is being managed by Westminster Ingleside Group, an Ingleside organization, delivering property development and management services to Ingleside communities.
