Kensington High School Teacher Bought Liquor for Teen: Police

KENSINGTON, MD — A teacher and field hockey coach at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington faces criminal charges for allegedly buying whiskey and other liquor for a 17-year-old student at the school. Blaise Delizo, 26, of Rockville, is charged with giving alcohol to someone under the age of 21 and contributing to the condition of a child.

Delizo exchanged personal cell phone numbers with the girl, who he’d taught the previous school year, according to court documents, reports WJLA. On Nov. 4, Delizo supposedly offered to purchase alcohol for the teen and they met that night in the parking lot of the Shoppers Food and Pharmacy in the 2300 block of Randolph Road. Montgomery County Police say the girl filled her backpack with the bottles and later drank the liquor.

On Nov. 15, Child Protective Services notified police about the incident and the student gave investigators screenshots of her text messages with Delizo, police say.
