Nordstrom Rack To Hold Grand Opening For New MoCo Site This Month

ROCKVILLE, MD — Starting this month, a popular retailer will be serving customers from a new location in Montgomery County.

Nordstrom Rack will hold a grand opening on Oct. 29 for its new Congressional Plaza branch at 1683 Rockville Pike.

Festivities marking the opening kick off at 8 a.m., an hour before the store's official opening. Residents wanting to participate will be met with a host of giveaways.

The new property offers the brand 26,000 square feet of space and a prime location in a popular shopping center that also houses the Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Nordstrom Rack will be operating out of the site that previously housed Buy Buy Baby, which closed at the end of July.

"We look forward to being a part of the Rockville community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, said in a statement.

"We're excited to grow our footprint in the Washington D.C. market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience."

In Montgomery County, Nordstrom Rack also has locations in Gaithersburg and at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, both of which are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Officials hours for the Rockville location have not been released.
