Man Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Girl Arrested: Police
Police say they have identified the man who inappropriately touched a 5-year-old girl at a library in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Police say they have identified the man who inappropriately touched a 5-year-old girl at a library in Rockville as Keelan M. Sternklar, 26.
Sternklar is charged with a third-degree sexual offense and second-degree assault for the incident, court records revealed.
According to authorities, the incident took place around 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Rockville Memorial Library, which is located at 21 Maryland Ave. Sternklar is accused of approaching the 5-year-old girl in the children's section, pulling down her pants, and touching her inappropriately, according to officials. The child screamed and told her parents, who then called the police.

Sternklar was captured in surveillance photos, which authorities released on Dec. 20 in hopes that the public could help identify the suspect.
The same night police published the photos, at about 6 p.m., a Rockville City police officer spotted a man who matched the description inside a coffee shop, located about a block away from the library. According to police, they arrested Sternklar at a homeless shelter in Derwood around 11:30 p.m.

During an interview, Sternklar told detectives that he was in the library at the time of the incident.
