Man Dies After Car Crashes Into Tree: Police
A man hospitalized after his car crashed into a tree over the weekend has died.

MONTGOMERY CO., MD ā A man who suffered serious injuries over the weekend in a car crash has died, the Montgomery County Police Department announced Monday.
The single-vehicle car crash took place in the Derwood area of Crabbs Branch Way and Moccasin Lane. Police and fire crews were called to the scene Sunday, just after 1:40 p.m.
Police said the man's car was driven off the roadway "for reasons still under investigation," and that it had hit a tree.

Early findings show the car was "traveling south on Crabbs Branch Way" when the crash occurred, investigators said.
At the time, the man, who has not been identified by police, was hospitalized for serious injuries.

David Pazos, of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, also reported that a dog was inside the car when the crash took place. It was released to animal control with minor injuries.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
