Rockville Pike Ranks Among Top 10 'Most Passive-Aggressive Roads': Report

A popular Montgomery County road was top-ranked in a listing of roadways traveled by the "most passive-aggressive" drivers in the nation.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Rockville Pike landed on a nationwide ranking of the top 10 "most passive-aggressive" roads within the U.S., according to a report.

Findings by the American River Wellness Recovery determined that the popular roadway ranked 7th across the nation.

The listing was based on a May survey of more than 3,000 U.S. drivers who were asked about roadways they believed were most traveled by passive-aggressive drivers.

Such behavior included drivers who engaged in the following:

  • Tailgating
  • Blocking merges
  • Brake-checking
  • Excessive honking
