ROCKVILLE, MD — A trooper with the Maryland State Police is in the hospital after his cruiser was hit by a car late Tuesday, according to reports.
The outlet reported that the trooper had just carried out a traffic stop on the southbound lanes of Interstate 270 when a Hyundai hit his cruiser. The incident happened just before the Montrose Road exit.
The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, DC News Now reported, noting that the Hyundai driver was not injured.
