Montgomery County Declares Weather Emergency
Snow emergency plan is in effect on Saturday, Feb. 21.

On Saturday morning, Montgomery County officially activated its snow emergency plan.
During a snow emergency, vehicles may not park in areas designated as snow routes.
Montgomery County declared its snow emergency plan was active at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

There is a winter storm warning in effect for Montgomery County until 9 a.m. Sunday calling for several inches of snow and possibly some ice.
Other counties that had declared snow emergencies as of 11 a.m. included Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Howard and Washington, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

The Maryland State Highway Administration is urging people to delay their travels on Saturday due to deteriorating conditions.
