Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car
A fatal pedestrian collision was reported in Rockville on Sunday at the intersection of Norbeck and Avery roads.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A man was killed after being hit by a car on Sunday in Rockville, authorities say.
The incident took place at the intersection of Norbeck and Avery roads and involved a single pedestrian and the driver of a 2006 Chevy van.
The Montgomery County Police Department said officers responded to the scene at about 6:30 p.m., detailing that the collision happened when the car was driving on the northbound lanes of Norbeck Road.

Police said the man hit by the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Authorities said updates would be provided at a later time, and that the pedestrian would be identified once the next of kin was notified of the incident.
