The teenager admitted to creating the threatening social media post after an interview with police and her parents.
Police did not specify what the threatening post said, or whether the girl was a student at Thomas S. Wootton High School. It's also unclear if the post has any ties to the shooting that recently occurred at the school.

The girl is currently being charged with threats of mass violence. Police said the case will be processed through the Department of Juvenile Services.

Montgomery County police said there is no ongoing threat to the school. However, the department said additional officers would be stationed at the school.
