Montgomery's Virtual Tenant Town Hall Scheduled For April 30

Montgomery County's virtual tenant town hall will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. Here's how to register.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Councilmembers Evan Glass and Will Jawando will be hosting a virtual tenant town hall for residents on Thursday.

The town hall, scheduled to start at 7 p.m., will give tenants the opportunity to voice their concerns about payments and learn more about the county's renter resources.

"With next month's rent due in just a few days, we know many residents are concerned about their housing and economic security during this crisis," officials said in a statement. "To alleviate these concerns, the Montgomery County Council has taken a number of housing relief measures to assist renters during this time. These actions include increasing rental assistance and adopting emergency rent stabilization."
