Will They Or Won't They: Here's The Day Cycle Gear May Open
The nation's largest retailer for motorcycle gear may be opening its first storefront in Montgomery County next week.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Cycle Gear, the nation's largest retailer for motorcycle apparel and accessories, could be opening its Rockville location in the coming week.
Cycle Gear representatives told Patch that a date has not yet officially been selected; however, March 25 was listed in an online ad tied to the company's official Instagram account.
"Big news! Mark your calendars for 3/25/26! We're opening a brand-new store at 1500 Rockville Pike," read the post.

The date was also reported by The MoCo Show.
The opening marks the first base for the company in Montgomery County and its second in the state. Cycle Gear's first storefront in Maryland is in Anne Arundel County's Glen Burnie.

The store is located at 1500 Rockville Pike.
Founded in 1974, Cycle Gear is taking over the retail space that was previously the home of Party City.
