Winter Storm Warning Calls For Heavy Snow In Montgomery County
BREAKING: The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Montgomery County. Travel may become impassable.

A winter storm warning has been issued Monday night through Tuesday afternoon for several Maryland jurisdictions, including Montgomery County, which could receive half a foot of snow. The National Weather Service issued the warning, which means severe winter weather conditions are expected that will make travel dangerous.
The warning is effective from 7 p.m. on Monday to 2 p.m. on Tuesday. It calls for snow, with accumulations between 6 and 10 inches. (For weather updates and all your local news, click here to subscribe to the free Patch newsletter and Breaking News Alerts.)

Snow is expected to start Monday night and fall through Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Predictions of the looming winter snowstorm that could dump 4 to 8 inches of snow inside the Beltway have Metro officials announcing paratransit service will be suspended at 4 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday as the nor-easter brings one last winter blast to the region.
The Capital Weather Gang says snowfall amounts will likely range from 8 inches or more just north of Washington, D.C., to as little as 2 inches southeast of the city. Inside the Beltway, expect 4 to 8 inches.
