ATI Physical Therapy Expands, Opens New SP Clinic

On Monday, December 17, ATI Physical Therapy opens two new Maryland clinics in Pasadena and Severna Park. The clinics, located at 8116 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD, and 580 E. Governor Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, join ATI’s Linthicum location to better serve the Anne Arundel County community.

“We are excited to expand into this part of Anne Arundel County,” said Dylan Bates, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Our Sports Medicine team provides athletic training services for many of the local schools, so it’s great to now have clinics nearby to serve those athletes and others in the community.”

ATI, a nationally-recognized physical therapy and sports medicine provider, emphasizes delivering quality care in a fun and encouraging environment. The staff  creates customized treatment plans for each patient while continually motivating patients every step of the way.

Kate Burtman will lead the staff at Pasadena as clinic director. Burtman graduated from James Madison University in 2006 with a degree in health sciences and completed her doctorate of physical therapy at Old Dominion University in 2009. She joined ATI Physical Therapy in April 2011 and has previously worked at the Abington location. Burtman’s educational experience includes courses on comprehensive treatments of the foot and ankle, therapeutic yoga techniques, common running injuries, and rehabilitation of the shoulder.

Amber Robinson leads the Severna Park clinic as Clinic Director. Robinson graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Exercise Science in 2005 and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2010. She joined the ATI team in December 2010 and has a special interest in orthopedics, specifically treatment of the foot and ankle.  She regularly treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, post-op patients, and work-related injuries.  Robinson is trained in the Matheson System of Functional Capacity Evaluation and has been a FCE provider for ATI since 2011. In addition to treating patients, Amber earned her credentials as a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP) by the Kinesio Taping Association.
