Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company to host Comedy Fundraiser
Pasadena, MD- While fighting fires in Anne Arundel County Maryland is no laughing matter, the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company wants to put the serious aside for their Spring Comedy Fundraiser this May.

The event will feature three comedians from New York City and a cast of locals with the hopes to raise funds to support the Volunteer Fire House so integral to supporting emergency services in Pasadena. Comedian and producer Dan Frigolette is tasked with procuring the talent on the show. Frigolette is no slouch to making sure shows are filled with funny. Frigolette produces The Hoboken Comedy Festival, which celebrates its fourth successful year in 2013 supports local charities in Hoboken NJ, and brings a steady stream of laughter to Sinatra’s Birthplace once a year for an entire weekend. Past Festival rosters look like some sort of Stand Up Comedy All-Star Game. Frigolette also, produces Comedy’s Best Kept Secret Tour, for those hilarious comedians, who might not have apexed into household names...yet.
On May 31st the stage in the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company banquet hall will include Frigolette himself, an established comedian who recently headlined the famous Caroline’s on Broadway in New York City, not to mention his television cameos on NBC, TLC, and the new FX show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Rounding out the cast of New York City performers, includes Matt Pavich, who can be seen in the pages of XXL Magazine and Matt Richards a young comedian/hypnotist/magician triple threat who has two shows coming out in the fall on MTV and BET.
“A large part of supporting local charities is the importance of local talent” said Frigolette of the other half lineup including Baltimore’s funniest. Local comic Nik Oldershaw can be seen at the performance, whose comedic prowess is impressive considering he’s only 19 years old! If you recognize the name it is because Nik won Magooby’s New Talent Contest in 2011 the same year he graduated from Severna Park High School. Three years into comedy and a non-stop laugh maker, Frigolette first saw Oldershaw at a show in Timonium and immediately asked him to come be part of the fundraiser. Baltimore veteran comedian Mike Finazzo also joins the mix of talent on the Friday performance. Finazzo, is a constant force in the area for comedy, he’s been on 98Rock and consistently hosts shows at Magooby’s and The Baltimore Laugh Factory. Finazzo is from Catonsville MD, and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School before trying his hand at comedy. If you’ve seen him perform you know first hand how strongly he excels at it.
The show who’s ticket sales will support the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company is priced to sell out at $12 which also includes a complimentary draft beer. At any other venue this show would command at least double that admission. The show takes place at 4498 Mountain Road in Pasadena Maryland 21122 in the banquet hall attached to the fire company. Refreshments available at the event include beer, wine, well liquor and LSVFC’s famous Pitbeef sandwiches.
This show is part of a five day tour which includes Bel Air MD, Arlington VA, Pasadena, MD, and Washington DC for the traveling performers.
Come support the cause and laugh with the best comedic talent to ever pass through Pasadena.
