New Executive Staff at Chartwell Golf and Country Club

Severna Park, Maryland/Anne Arundel County-October 25, 2012- The Board of Directors of Chartwell Golf & Country Club (CG&CC), proudly announces that Michael Fay is the club's new General Manager.  Additionally, Cati Mitchell has been retained as the new Event Planner, Todd Weisz was selected to be the new Executive Chef, while Robert Agresti will be the new Head PGA Golf Professional.

The new executive staff brings a high level of professional experience to CG&CC.  Mr. Fay, CCM, has over 20 years of management experience which includes private clubs, one of which was Woods Hole Golf Club on Cape Cod.  He was also in senior management at two of the top 100 classic golf courses in America (Old Town Club and Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia).

 

Ms. Cati Mitchell, Event Planner graduated from Hollins College in Theater Arts with a film concentration and brings 10 years of wedding and catering experience from such places as The Historic Inns of Annapolis, Annapolis Waterfront Marriott Hotel and Martins Caterers in Greenbelt, Maryland.

 

 Mr. Weisz, Executive Chef, was educated at The Culinary Institute of America and has over 21 years of experience.  He was the Executive Food & Beverage director at Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, a four-star resort and private club in Miami, where he received the coveted Five Star Diamond Award for seven consecutive years.  Most recently, he was the Corporate Chef for Phillips Seafood where he oversaw the daily operations of Phillips restaurants throughout the Maryland and Pennsylvania area.

 

Mr. Agresti, PGA professional, has 11 years experience with the last 4 years as 1st Assistant at the 116 year old Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA., site of the 2010 and 2011 AT&T National Tournament.  Mr. Agresti brings a wealth of knowledge to CG&CC and has already organized a successful junior program with golf clinics for 4 to 17 year olds.

 

According to Mr. Fay, the club hosts many weddings, business functions and community activities for members and sponsored non-members alike.  The club offers an array of membership categories including golf, tennis and social/pool memberships.  To host an event or to inquire about membership call 410-987-0400.
