
Lloyd O. Wade, Jr., also known as ‘Bo’, a long time resident of Cape Arthur in Severna Park, MD passed away Jan. 14, 2011 after a 10 month illness with cancer.
Lloyd was born on Feb. 13, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to parents Lloyd and Mary Jane Wade. He was a 1968 graduate of Southern High School in Baltimore.
In 1971, he married Pat (Nees), his high school sweetheart. He received an engineering degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. During his engineering career, he was employed by Seagram’s Distillery, the A&P Coffee Co. and McCormick’s Spice Co.

He went on to a second career as owner of the Centreville Garage in Centreville, MD. Lloyd loved old cars, playing poker, his home and spending time with friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Michael Luther Wade.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; son, Matthew Luther Wade of Baltimore; daughter, Adrianne Marie Wade of Severna Park; brother, David Wade and his wife Stephanie; father-in-law, Carl Nees; brother-in-law, Skip Nees and his wife Debby; sister-in law, Barb; a nephew and several nieces; as well as a multitude of devoted friends.
The family is deeply grateful for the caring medical staff of Anne Arundel Medical Center who treated Lloyd during his illness. Their compassion was invaluable to Lloyd and his family during his many hospitalizations and treatments.
As Lloyd faced the last days of his life, the family was also blessed by the care provided by the Hospice of the Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made in Lloyd’s name to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
Family and friends may visit on Jan. 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home located at 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A funeral service will be held at 11:am on Jan. 19, 2011 in the Funeral Home chapel.
