Services from the Heart Backpack Buddies Program Receives Business Partner of the Year Award

Services from the Heart, Inc. Backpack Buddies Program has been chosen as one of the Business Partners of the Year by the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The Business Partner Award was presented at the 16th Annual Educational Excellence Awards Dinner on Tuesday, May 7th at La Fontaine Bleue in Glen Burnie. Services from the Heart, Inc. is an emerging nonprofit corporation that serves students attending Title 1 schools who are at risk of going without food over the weekend and holidays. Our program provides food backpacks each Friday to Eastport Elementary (Annapolis, MD) & Hilltop Elementary (Glen Burnie). Each week participants of the program receive 6 meals, 3 snacks, and 3 beverages. Our mission is to address and reduce the impact of poverty on communities by providing essential services, creating opportunities, and inspiring communities to volunteer...we are all connected!
