Students in all grades at St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Episcopal School, from age 3 through 8th grade, took a few minutes on Friday, March 1, to participate in the national Read Across America program in observance of the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Parents can join in at home by reading with their children. The national theme was Grab a Hat and Read to the Cat. St. Martin’s elementary students paraded through the school, wearing crazy hats and waving their Seuss books. Later, everyone in the school settled down to read. Then it was so quiet, you could have heard a Sneetch sneeze.
