Two new Eagle Scouts

Troop 993, sponsored by the Severna Park United Methodist Church, is proud to introduce its newest Eagle Scouts, Evan Rockenbauch and Thomas Weber.

Tom Weber has earned 36 merit badges on his path to Eagle rank. He has the unusual distinction of being one of the few Scouts who has been in both the Far East Council and the Transatlantic Council. He started his Scouting adventure in Seoul, Korea as a Tiger Scout, and bridged to Boy Scouts in Honolulu, Hawaii (Aloha Council). He continued his Scouting journey in Munich, Germany, and
completed that adventure here in Severna Park. For his service project, Tom built a rain garden in Olde Severna Park to control erosion and water pollution
as a part of the Chesapeake Bay/Severn River Watershed project. As a part of his project, Tom also repaired a trail that leads to the Severn River.

Evan Rockenbauch has earned 37 merit badges on his path to Eagle rank. He has volunteered for many service projects, including many Eagle projects for others
in his troop, as well as Scouting for Food, Trash pick-up at the Maryland Seafood Festival, and the annual yard clean-up at the Severna Park United Methodist Church. He has held several troop leadership positions. His favorite
is Troop Guide because he gets to train the younger scouts in basic scout skills. Beyond scouting, he plays violin and is a member of the Severna Park High School Stage Crew.  His Eagle service project was a 36' handicap ramp for Trinity United Methodist Church in Odenton.
