Anne Arundel Community Concert Association announces 2017-2018 program
Subscribe to our next season for $55.00 and come to our June 10th concert sponsoring The Young Columbians free.
The Anne Arundel Community Concert Association, a non-profit organization, has been active in the county since 1951. It provides an opportunity for residents to enjoy live entertainment at the new state of the art Severna Park HS auditorium. The season will start on Sept. 30 with Paul McDermand and his musical group featuring steel drums, marimba, vibraphone, guitar bass and drums. On Oct. 24 Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert will perform a program of classical piano works. On February 6 Jason Petty will present "Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes" a must for country music fans. Then on April 3 "The Side Street Strutters" will honor the 100th anniversary of recorded jazz with music of George Gershwin and Duke Ellington and others. May 25th will bring us "Classical FX" presenting a mix of operatic favorites, American music and the best of Broadway. The last concert of the season will be presented by the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra. Season subscribers may also attend six more concerts at Southern HS in south county. Subscription fees for all 11 concerts are $55 for one adult, $10 for a student, $120 for mom, dad, and children, and $65 for mom or dad and their children (K-12).
