Cypress Creek Therapy Launches Second Round of Making Friends at CCT Social Group

After the success of our pilot social skills program this past fall, Cypress Creek Therapy launches the second round of our pediatric program "Making Friends at CCT" in February 2013.

After the success of our pilot social skills program for children this past fall, Cypress Creek Therapy (CCT) is launching it’s second eight-week program "Making Friends at CCT" in February 2013 led by CCT’s award winning pediatric speech and occupational therapists.

During this eight week program that will target children aged 5-7, students will learn basic social skills that impede many children with cognitive and communication difficulty. Children who may be fit for this group often have problems with basic skills such as sharing, initiating conversations, eye contact, conversation skills, and teamwork. Erin Peppard, CCT Pediatric Director states, "Making Friends at Cypress Creek Therapy is a great way to get our kids together with their peers and learn social skills.  We plan to educate the kids on appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication and social cues in a way that will be positive and fun for them!"

The social skills group meets for an hour once per week for the eight-week session. Making Friends at CCT is a self-pay program at $240 for the full eight-week hour long sessions. Please contact Erin Peppard, Pediatric Director at or Heidi Schmidt, Patient Care Representative if you are interested in signing up or would like more information about this program by calling 410-544-2500.
