First Round of Storms Roll Through Severna Park

The first round of storms rolled though Severna Park Thursday morning.

The storms brought heavy rain, hail, darkening skies and some power outages across the county.

Residents in Round Bay, one of the areas often hit the hardest by storms, reported rough and rising water.

While the first round of storms seemed to have passed, meteorologists caution that stronger storms are on the way, and should hit the area this afternoon.

According to AccuWeather.com, more thunderstorms are expected to hit Severna Park around 2 p.m., and they could bring more hail and strong winds.
