Flu Shots Available at Giant Food Locations

It may still look and feel like summer, but  is already offering flu shots at its in-store pharmacy in Severna Park.

“Flu shots are reformulated every year, so it’s important people are vaccinated on an annual basis," Gayle Shields, director of pharmacy operations for Giant Food, said in a press release. “Giant is proud to offer seasonal flu shots at all 159 of our in-store pharmacies in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, DC.” 

Appointments aren't necessary and the shots cost $30 per person, according to a press release. Giant Food accepts most major insurance plans along with Medicare.

The grocery store chain also has partnered with various health-related vendors to offer a free coupon book worth more than $30, while supplies last, to customers who receive a flu shot.
