Last-Minute Halloween Costumes

Costume Cabaret in Severna Park is open and fully stocked on Halloween costumes.

While Hurricane Sandy may have tried, it doesn't seem that the storm has put much of a damper on Halloween plans.

Anne Arundel County police said they are planning to proceed as usual for trick-or-treating festivities Wednesday night.

However, if Sandy did impact your ability to go out and get a costume, Costume Cabaret in Severna Park is open and fully stocked with Halloween get-ups.

"There are still a lot of people in Severna Park without power so we haven't seen too many people out today or yesterday," said store manager Jenn Horrell.

Horrell said one of the most popular costumes this year has been the superhero characters from the movie Avengers.

If you're still in need of a last-minute costume, but can't make it out the the store—take a cue from my boyfriend who had this interesting idea in college: A leaf blower.

He taped a leaf to his hat so that it hung down in front of his face—and then he blew it. However, I am sure you can come up with much more creative ideas.
