Marathon Explosions: 4 Runners from Severna Park On Race List

Patch is awaiting word on the safety of runners following a deadly explosion near the finish line.

At least two people were killed and dozens hurt in explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon.

There were at least four runners from the Severna Park area who were on the entry list for the race. To learn if they have been found safe, you can check the Red Cross "Safe and Well" website to see if they have registered there. Google is also hosting its own service to find missing racers.

The explosion occurred just before 4 p.m., four hours into the race.
