Durkan said in an email to Patch that the method chosen to assure "one person one vote" is to require the voting through each person's Facebook identity.
"People are free to vote for as many businesses as they like (there may be other businesses in the area that have also applied to participate), but can only vote for each business once," Durkan wrote.

The voting closes Saturday.
"We would really like to continue to be a part of the local business community, and believe we contribute to what makes this area unique. The voting process takes about two minutes (or less), but we really need the support," Durkan wrote.
Here's how to vote: When you log in at https://www.missionsmallbusiness.com they invite you to enter your Facebook ID and password (unless you are already logged on to Facebook on whatever device you're using) before selecting the businesses you'd like to support.
